The goal of Work Package 1 is to lay the foundation for understanding and evaluating various field labs in the Netherlands.
Accelerating the societal and economic scaling of innovative solutions requires behavioral changes from regional network organizations, support programs, and fieldlab participants.

Work Package 4 (WP4) aims to disseminate and integrate project knowledge through establishing a Community of Practice (CoP) and developing domain-specific Fieldlab Academy programs. These programs, led by regional network organizations and support programs like Stichting Pioneering, GreenportsNL, and FME/Smart Industry Program, employ the Challenge Based Learning (CBL) approach to equip fieldlab coordinators and participants with knowledge, practical skills, and social competences for navigating the complexities of fieldlabs.
In line with CBL, each of the scientific publications is translated into a series of Dutch and English knowledge clips, where researchers explain the basic principles of their findings. The Fieldlab Academy curriculum includes modules covering fieldlab characteristics, social dynamics, business models, value dilemmas, and scaling solutions.
The Community of Practice fosters collaboration among researchers and professionals, facilitating knowledge exchange through workshops, expert panels, co-creation sessions, and knowledge sessions.
WP4 is led by Leentje Volker (UT), and involves all four universities, in collaboration with many of the co-funders and partners such as Greenports NL, Stichting Pioneering and Brainport Industries.
